Maya comes and cuddles in Todd’s arms a couple of times a day. She and her brother Myles were starved almost to death. The abuser also shoved things down her throat, causing permanent damage. But Maya knows she is safe now and loved and she returns to Todd to rest and to absorb more love.

What happened is that they almost killed her and starved her body of vital nutrients. With Christina’s expert nutrition and care, Penny Lane has recovered and gotten so strong. But some of the effects of the starvation will affect her health for the rest of her life.
Cinderella and Brutie. Like the big pig herd, the littles often check in with each other—even if they’re not best of friends. They know they are all members of the same herd.
Regan is ready for dinner. It’s always a mad rush into the feeding pavilion at breakfast and dinner. There’s screaming, drooling, jostling and then finally the gate opens to heaven—i.e. food.
